How to Download the App:

  1. Go to your App store

  2. Search for “inVision Conference Connect”

  3. Click on the GET button next to the app shown below

  4. Once installed, you can open the app and follow the instructional below in this same document

How to Use the App:

The inVision app will help you navigate at and collect data from the conference you are attending. In the same app you can add all the things you see in the conference around you, booths, key speakers, presentations, and documents. You can also take notes and pictures of the booths and speakers/presentations you see. You can follow the schedule information to the right rooms to see speakers without getting lost. All the possible functions of your new inVision app will be explained right below:

It is recommended that before you get to the location of the conference, you load and sync the app in case the internet is not strong enough at the conference.

To sync: Open the app while you have a good, steady internet connection. On the top right corner you will see this arrow symbol

that you can click on whenever you want to sync the app with the website version of inVision. With this, any change done in inVision by others, or by you on a different device will automatically load into the app, or sync to it.

When you open the app, the default page will have a few things to learn about:

  • The name of the conference you are attending is on the top of the page.

  • There are two buttons under the conference name, ‘Upcoming’ and ‘Mine’, both of which can be clicked on and changed to ‘Overall’ and ‘Everyone’, respectively

    • ‘Upcoming’ will show all the conferences that are held in the future

    • ‘Mine’ will show the part of the schedule that you are mark to attend when the online schedule was created

    • The default when you open the app will be the combination of ‘Upcoming’ and ‘Mine’ so you only have to those sessions that have not passed yet and are relevant to you

    • If for any reason you want to see other’s sessions, or one of your own from a previous date, just click on these buttons to get the combination you need

    • Once you change the buttons, the next time you open the app, that same combo you set last will who on the page

  • Across from the name of the conference you will see the filter symbol:

    • When clicking on this, you will be able to filter the schedule by date/time, priority, and other relevant characteristics of a presentation

  • Under these buttons you will see the actual schedule with the dates on top. You can jump between the dates to see the presentations specific for that day

    • You will see the session title, the full running time for the session and the room where the session takes place

    • If you wish to open a session to see its details, you can click on the downward arrow on the right

      • Here you will see each presentation title and their own specific time

      • You can also see which session this presentation belongs to

      • You can also add notes and images here, by clicking on the "ADD NOTE" and "ADD IMAGE" buttons

      • Going lower, you can also add pictures and notes you took as drafts previously, by clicking on the "Assign photos/notes from drafts" button

      • If you want to see the post on the site, click on the button "View full post on website" and you will be directed to the inVision full website

    • You can add pictures and notes to the presentation by clicking on the blue +Images and +Notes buttons

      • If this is the first time adding a picture, you’ll have to allow access to the camera

Once you are at this page:

you will be able to take continuous pictures for that specific presentation, such as speaker or his/her tools, or the projected screen.

Here are a few notes for the picture upload:

o On the top you will see the words ‘Photos’ and ‘Notes’ so you can jump from taking a picture of a session to taking notes of it.

o When you zoom in to take a picture and then move on to add a note, you will notice the zoom scale will stay on for when you return to take a new picture

This is useful for when you take a picture of a presented slide, then want to add a note to it, but the slide changes and you go back to take another picture. The zoom will remain on for your convenience and to aid fast picture taking

o You can also add pictures from your phone by pressing this symbol:

o If you are adding pictures from your phone for the first time, you will have to give access to the APP

o Once you are done with pictures and notes, you can press done to get back to the schedule screen

Now let’s look at the bottom of the main page:

  • There are three symbols on the bottom of the main page:

o Schedule

o Plus

o And the menu icon

  • The Schedule symbol will always take you back to the main page with the schedule on it

  • The Plus sign symbol let’s you add draft notes, draft photos, a new booth, a new post, or a new session

    • When you take a draft picture or add a draft note, they will not be added to any specific presentation, but those pictures and notes will be available when clicking on the menu button mentioned above (right bottom corner)

    • When you are attending the conference, you will pass by some booths with interesting information, the plus sign allows you to create a booth and take notes about what you see

    • You would create a post or a session if for any reason they were missing from the schedule.

    • You can also create a session when you are in the process of creating a post.

  • The three-dot menu button will take you to a page with a few more options to do within the app

    • ‘Drafts’ – When you want to look at all the draft photos and notes you’ve taken within the app, those can be found here

      • When you want to add those pictures or notes into a post, you’ll have to select the one you need and press ‘Assign to post’

      • You can also select them to share via text, email, or social media, or even download to your phone

      • On the right you can delete selected photos or notes

    • ‘Documents’ - in documents you will see all uploaded document related to this conference, you will not be able to add documents

    • ‘Key Links’ – you will see a list of links related to this conference

    • ‘Switch Conference’ – here you can change your view from the current open conference to another one by clicking on ‘Change’ and searching for the other one you need and simply pressing on it

    • ‘Switch Time Zone’ – by clicking on ‘Change’ you can chose a different time zone in which to view the schedule in the front page

    • ‘View Schedule on inVision Website’ – this option let’s you see the schedule on the webpage instead of the app. This can be helpful if you cannot sync due to internet speed or such, and you need to see something in the schedule. This will show you everything that is current on the webpage.

    • ‘Booth’ – You can only add booth when clicking on the plus sign down in the middle, but here in this option you can add images and notes to an existing booth

    • ‘Log Out’ – Clicking here you can log out of the app
