Many times, after using inVision to send out an Alert, you may get an email saying "hey, I don't think I got that alert". Sometimes it went in their junk folder, sometimes there weren't even on one of the email lists. In this article we help you to use the Alert Details to search for an email and confirm if they were sent the alert.

If you go to the Alerts page using the main menu, you see both alerts that show “Alert not sent” and “Alert Sent”. If you click on the Details link, you will get more information about the alert that was sent.

This brings up a window that will show you the details of the alert, who it was sent from, and who was in the To, CC, BCC fields. What we have added is a “View More” option when one of the lists gets too big.

After I expand the list, I can use Control-F in my browser and type in “bwei” for example, and then hit the down arrow to jump to the first occurrence of this. And you will see that I find "[email protected]". If you search for part of someone’s email and get a 0/0, that means that they weren’t on the list and may have been accidentally removed or a different subscription list was used, etc.

We can’t tell you the specific settings and subscription lists that were used, as we expand all of the names to try and de-duplicate the list so that if some names were on multiple lists they don’t get the email multiple times.

Hopefully this helps a bit when you get a client or teammate that says “hey, I don’t think I got that alert”. This will at least help you confirm that they were actually sent it from the system.
